Two tools.
Grown out of my own work.

Both apps grew out of my own needs, not out of a product plan. I needed them for my work, so I built them. They cost nothing, they run entirely on your own machine and they send nothing out. Anyone who can use them is welcome to.

A lean editor for HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP with a live preview. GoodEdit indents code as you type and formats a whole document on command. The preview also shows linked images, stylesheets and fonts. A homage to Taco HTML Edit.

GoodSort gives scanned PDF files consistent names and files them into an existing folder structure. A local language model reads every document and proposes a date, a sender and a title. No file moves without your confirmation, every move is written to the log and can be undone.

Both apps are free. They require macOS 14 or later and run on Apple Silicon and on Intel. They speak German and English and can be extended to further languages.

Note for the first launch: Both apps are only self-signed and not notarized by Apple. macOS therefore refuses a double click. On the first launch, right-click the app and choose “Open”. After that it starts normally.
